speech day was good . i think its better than rehearsal . though its still pretty horrible. but u cant expect much from the sec 1s. they have no techniques no nothing . finally its over. i think i'll be stepping down super soon . to me its really not much of a diff. just that i'll miss all the crazy ppl /subway / crazy times we ALWAYS have . well . we had loads of photos .stupid photos . hahaha . fun photos after school ended at 11 . on fri . we (crazy ppl ) went to ps . yes . we bought subway . rushed back to school a lil late . lols . suddenly had the urge to dance . just out of a sudden . hiphop , YES hiphop . so i was recapping steps with fazlin . and for the few hours . we sat down on the floor . half the time having my ipod on . then next we were dancing . then we taught the rest some of the steps . lols we all got super excited . too bad we're like stepping down already . should have times that we reflect .i've learn lots of stuff from lao shi . LOTS. which helps me when i dance outside. she gave me lots of good advices . encouraging me to go oversea and stuff. and mrs tan too . she taught me to be a better leader . from someone who dont care what others thinks and expect others to listen to her decision to someone who actually listens . its really great to know that your dancers actually go up to you and tell you their problems . and i can actually solve it for them . its great to have ppl looking up to you as really someone who they know u can help . as a chairman i was able to be exposed to so many things . things that will definitely help me in my later life if i choose to be a dancer .i learnt how to be not so self centered,the dancers welfare is the responsibility of the leaders . thats why . mrs tan used to tell me ,U BETTER STOP DANCING AH !IF U WANNA DANCE NEXT TIME U BETTER LET YOUR LEG REST. lols and i always ignore her advice. (not that im talking about anybody else,but myself . this is just a reflection la ! ) the best part about being a leader is when your dancers know that u have put in effort and they thank you for helping that . have u leaders felt and been thank like that before ? during the international dance competition , lao shi wasnt there .mrs tan was sick . so naturally i would take up the responsibility. we practiced every single time we had . i did the make up for them . see their marking of stage. did the hair . made sure everything was ok . just did what i needed to do . at the end of the day , though we didnt win . but when they said " it was shir lyn who pushed us and made us practice, we should thank her instead" it really warms my heart. like the things u do is appreciated . or perhaps the commitment i gave to this dance is over what is expected. but after all this exposure , nevertheless, im still a bitch . some things wont change wouldnt it ? lols . oh well . i've talked to much . and again , IM NOT POINTING FINGERS AT ANYONE BUT MYSELF. this is my experience. instead i hope the rest learns . i miss genting . overseas exposure really teaches us a lot ! (im gonna say all these when im going for my interview for dpa!! thats why i've been thinking /reflecting)DIRECT POLY ADMISSION after speech day , we went out with mund , da ,vic , merishah , nic , junjie , hh . went to watch shutters. was awesome . anyway im going to prepare for dance .
